University of Iowa College of Nursing Faculty Practice – nurse practitioner services for individuals and organizations.

EXACTLY WHAT IS A NURSE PRACTITIONER?

Also called an ARNP, the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner is an RN who has a master’s or doctorate degree in nursing and is nationally board certified to diagnose and treat health conditions.

Nurse practitioners (NPs) may provide primary care independently, but they often complement the family doctor’s services. Our NPs will collaborate with your doctor and keep him or her updated on your health situation. If a higher level of care is needed, the NP will facilitate referral and transfer.

University of Iowa College of Nursing Faculty Practice is health care where YOU are.

Our nurse practitioners come to you—where you live, work, and learn—to assess, diagnose and treat your health-related needs.
