More than 7,900 students were named to the University of Iowa dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester, and more than 950 were named to the president's list. Of those, 423 on the dean's list and 157 on the president's list were College of Nursing students. Released last month in Iowa Now, the lists recognize academic achievement and excellence.

To be named to the dean’s list, College of Nursing students must be participating in clinical courses, have a total of 12 semester hours of earned credit; and have eight semester hours of graded credit with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher.

To be named to the president’s list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 GPA in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester hours of graded credit with a 4.0 each semester. One hundred forty-two college of nursing students achieved this level of excellence.
