Presbyterian Healthcare Services of Albuquerque, NM, just received American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accreditation for its Transition to Practice and Perioperative programs.

The ANCC accreditation program recognizes the importance of high-quality Continuing Nursing Education (CNE), interprofessional continuing education, residency and fellowship programs, and skills-based competency programs.

Both Presbyterian programs were approved for accreditation “with distinction” by ANCC thanks in part to a recent curriculum development collaboration with the Iowa Online Nurse Residency Program.

“We are super excited, and wanted to thank you for your collaboration in this journey! We feel IOWA online content helped us to build a solid foundation for our program,” noted Stacey Fort, manager of clinical education residency & fellowship programs at Presbyterian Healthcare Services.

“Accreditation has been a goal of ours since the inception of this program so we were very excited to work with a facility was able to accomplish this goal,” said Nicole Weathers, Iowa Online Nurse Residency Program manager. “The team from Presbyterian has been a great partner for us and we look forward to our continued collaboration.”

The innovative Iowa Online Nurse Residency Program is designed to help recent graduates transition into their new role as professional nurse. The nurse residency program’s competency-based curriculum is delivered using a combination of live webinars as well as interactive online modules. The program can be implemented in a variety of clinical settings across the country. To learn more, visit https://nursing.uiowa.edu/IONRP.
