Biography

Pat Nelson, Lecturer, is an RN-BSN Coordinator for students in the Northeast region of Iowa. Pat teaches several courses in the RN-BSN Program and coordinates clinical learning activities for the Community and Public Health Nursing Practicum course and the Quality Improvement Project experience in the Professional Role IV course. She is a graduate of Iowa Methodist School of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master’s degree in maternal/child health and nursing education from the University of Iowa.

Pat is interested in staying involved with professional nursing and health care issues. She is a member of the Iowa Nurses' Association (INA) having served one term with the Iowa Nurses Foundation, and two terms as a member of the INA State Board of Directors. She served as District President in North Central Iowa for four years and is involved with regional INA activities. Pat also enjoys participating in a variety of volunteer efforts to promote health and wellness in her community.
