My research focus is to explore age-related memory changes in community-dwelling elders and the process of integration related to personal knowledge of memory changes and mastery of compensatory skills to optimize functioning.

Faculty Affiliations/Clinical Research:
I am a research assistant for Marianne Smith, PhD, ARNP, BC, who is the Principle Investigator for "Depression Training to Promote Nurses as Advocates for Older Adults." This pilot project offers a training program for nurses that addresses late-life depression, symptom identification, screening tools, nursing interventions, professional referrals, and treatment outcome monitoring.
