Research Focus:
I am working on doing the 3 paper option for my dissertation and am researching simulation and pediatric nursing education (paper #1), and patient safety and pediatric nursing (paper #2), and the 3rd paper I will look at whether simulation is an effective method of teaching patient safety to pediatric nursing students. I think simulation is a wonderful teaching strategy, however objective research supporting its effectiveness is lacking. Following my dissertation, I want to continue to research the use of simulation in nursing education, and hopefully look at its impact on clinical judgment.
