The University of Iowa College of Nursing Young Scientist Program provides year-long mentored research experiences for undergraduate nursing students. This innovative program is made possible through the support of the John A. Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence, the Nancy Stence Creason Nursing Young Scientist Scholarship, and the Lazarra Family Foundation Young Scientist Award. The opportunity to participate as a YSP mentor is open to all University of Iowa College of Nursing Faculty, Postdoctoral Fellows, Doctoral Students and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Staff with an active clinical nursing research project. The opportunity to participate as a YSP student is open to all undergraduate and RN-BSN progression students.
