Research/Clinical Interests: 

Debra J. Strobel, MSN, RN, is the Southeast Regional lecturer for the University of Iowa RN-BSN Program. She received her ADN from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa.

Ms. Strobel has been a lecturer for the College of Nursing since 2005, and prior to that worked as a teaching assistant at the University Of Iowa College Of Nursing, where she assisted faculty in these courses: Human Behavior and Development, and Nursing Communication.

Ms. Strobel continues to work as an administrator for a Home Care Agency which she helped establish in 1995. Prior to that, she worked in Community Hospitals in a large variety of disciplines, including Labor & Delivery, Nursery, Surgery, Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, Emergency Room and Pediatrics. Debra was a House Supervisor for her last six years in the hospital setting before starting the home care agency.

Ms. Strobel has a strong interest in education and stays involved with nursing through membership in the Gamma Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, Infusion Nurses Society,  ANA/INA and the Brain Injury Association.
