Research/Clinical Interests: 

Curtis Long, MSN, RN, MBA is a Lecturer at the University of Iowa College of Nursing. He received his BSN, MSN and MBA from the University of Iowa. His clinical specialty is the area of Mental Health where he worked as a staff nurse and advanced practice nurse at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He has also worked as the Clinical Manager for Mental Health at the Veteran’ Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. 

Mr. Long’s areas of interest include violence in the health care settings, including the teaching of non-violent safety techniques for staff, and the use of simulation to enhance education on mental illness.
