Dr. Bair has worked at the UIHC throughout her career. She graduated from the BSN program in 1997 and from the Anesthesia Nursing program in 2005. She obtained her DNP in 2011 with a capstone project on the implentation of anesthesia safety guidelines utlizing aviation principles in checklist design. Her areas of interest in research application include the development and evaluation of tools for clinical application of research, and outcomes monitoring and quality assurance in outpatient anesthesia. She has a passion for teaching and a recent appointment as the Associate Director of the Graduate Anesthesia Nursing Program.  She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Internationa Honor Society of Nursing, lowa Association of Nurse Anesthetists (IANA), American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
