It is with mixed emotions that I announce that—after five years as the director of development for the College of Nursing—I have accepted a promotion to the position of executive director of development, major gifts, at the UI Foundation, effective September 24, 2012.
I have truly enjoyed working on behalf of the College of Nursing, and I value the strong relationships I’ve built with our generous alumni and friends, as well as with our dedicated faculty and staff.
While I am excited about my new endeavor, I am also sad to say “goodbye,” and I look forward to witnessing the college’s continued excellence and growth.
The search for a new development officer is underway, and Dean Frantz will be working with Liz Swanson, director of external relations, as well as staff at the UI Foundation to assure a smooth transition in filling this important role.
Thanks to alumni and friends like you, there is a true spirit of giving within the College of Nursing, and it is helping UI nursing graduates transform health care in communities both big and small.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to witness the power of this private support at work in the college throughout the last five years, and I have become fully aware of how your generosity truly does make a difference.
