Greetings from the University of Iowa College of Nursing:
I hope you all enjoyed the College of Nursing’s first email newsletter as we are definitely pleased with the new look. I also received positive responses from our alumni as well. It is our plan to extend updates to you on the College of Nursing about every three to four months. I am also interested in your endeavors as alumni so we can share your success and accomplishments with others.
Best,
Liz Swanson

Who are Iowa’s Great Nurses?
We’ve all met at least one outstanding nurse whose courage, compassion, and commitment to the nursing profession stands out above all others. Each year, 100 Great Iowa Nurses are selected from a pool of hundreds of admirable candidates and honored by the state of Iowa, fellow nurses and community leaders.
Representing 42 different Iowa counties, this year’s 100 Great Iowa Nurses will be honored on May 6, 2012—the beginning of National Nurses Week—at a reception in the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines.
