Dr. Kathleen Buckwalter, PhD, RN, FAAN has been selected to receive the Distinguished Mentorship In Gerontology Award to be presented at the national meeting of the Gerontological Society of America on November 23 in Baltimore, MD. |

Dr. Ken Culp, PhD, RN, FAAN was presented with the Iowa Nurses Association Hector Perez Award at its annual convention on October 27, 2008 in Coralville. The Hector Perez Award is presented to an Iowa Registered Nurse who is a member of the Iowa Nurses Association and has made a significant contribution to nursing in a clinical setting as a member of a minority group in this profession. |

Jimmy Reyes, MSN, RN, is a 2008 Catalyst Award winner. Reyes has earned his BSN and MSN from the UI College of Nursing, and is currently working on a joint Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and PhD in Gerontology/Public Health. |
