AONE past president elected to Genesis board of directors
Carol A. Watson, PhD, RN, CENP, has been elected to the board of directors of Genesis Health System. Based in Davenport, IA, Genesis serves a 10-county region of eastern Iowa and western Illinois with comprehensive health care services, including four hospital campuses, a network of more than 90 primary care physicians, home health services, occupational health and senior living options. In addition to serving as AONE board president in 2008, Dr. Watson was also senior vice president of clinical services and chief nurse executive at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, IA. She now serves as a clinical professor at the University of Iowa College of Nursing.
