| Kim Bergen is March grad student of the month |
Kim Bergren, BSN-PhD student in aging studies, has been named graduate student of the month, for March.:Her nomination by Dr. Keela Herr stated, “Kim has been an outstanding contributor on our NCI Cancer Pain in Elders grant digging into data abstraction with a passion. That is a little humor in that the task is not much fun, but Kim brings humor and commitment to the process and engages her colleagues in making the work a little more enjoyable.” “She is a great contributor to the research team, has been recognized by the John A. Hartford Foundation for her academic promise with a Hartford pre-doc, is a co-author on a paper to be published soon on pain in dementia, is leading the development of a manuscript and is presenting a poster at MNRS on the work of our team (with her other RA partners) in addressing recruitment challenges of frail elders at the EOL.” “She is a busy student, but makes time for family, friends and peers which I think are important aspects of having a successful life. She is a Student of the Month every month.“ March 4, 2008 |
