‘MiN’ to Attend Marque Conference in San Francisco

The University of Iowa College of Nursing’s student organization, Men in Nursing (UI MiN), is sending six students to San Francisco to participate in the American Assembly for Men in Nursing’s (AAMN) annual convention.  

Themed “Men in Nursing: Partners and Leaders in Nursing’s Future,” this year’s conference will provide the opportunity to network with member nurses and other students from around the United States.  

UI College of Nursing students attending the event are:

  • Thomas Houchins
  • Eric Leadley
  • Matt Fleege
  • Andrew Sacquitne
  • Sabolil Charkraborty
  • Sam Wright

UI MiN’s faculty advisor, Todd Ingram MA, RN, assistant professor, will also be attending the conference, which takes place October 24-26.

This significant learning and networking opportunity was made possible through the support of Valerie Garr, diversity coordinator of the CON’s Office of Diversity.

The University of Iowa Men in Nursing (UI MiN) organization provides a framework for nurses as a group to meet, to recruit, to discuss, and to influence factors which affect men in nursing. It is open to both undergraduate and graduate nursing students, and membership is not limited to men. For more information, click here
