Dr. Victoria Steelman is an Assistant Professor in Systems and Practice at the College of Nursing. Her professional career has focused on perioperative nursing practice. She has extensive expertise infusing evidence-based practice into health care settings. Her special research interests include studying safety and quality. She is well-known for her contributions to perioperative nursing, including primary or contributing authorships of many of the national standards for perioperative patient care, and development of a national competition for infusing evidence-based practice into perioperative nursing. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses.
