Center for Nursing Classification & Clinical Effectiveness

The University of Iowa Foundation has recently launched a new online contribution process. You can now make a contribution to the Center's endowment by going to the Internet. The site is www.uiowafoundation.org . Click on the College of Nursing and then Give to Iowa Now and enter your amount in the box for the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness Fund.

This is a very easy way to make a contribution. All amounts are welcome and will be acknowledged. All contributions are U.S. tax deductible. The site is encrypted for security. It was named outstanding web site in the 2002 WEbaward Competition. Thank you very much for your generosity; your contributions are very important to the ongoing work.

The Classification research conducted at The University of Iowa to maintain the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) and the Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) is unique. Many nurses and the nursing profession benefit from the work of the Center for Nursing Classification and Clinical Effectiveness to keep these standardized nursing languages current for documentation of nursing practice and effectiveness research.

The Center is working to ensure that this important work can be continued. Our goal is to raise a $1 million endowment and to use the earnings to support the ongoing development of NIC and NOC. The endowment will fund Center staff along with costs for communication and equipment.

Thank you for all your efforts to disseminate information about NIC and NOC. We also need your support of the endowment fund campaign. Please take a moment and make a contribution now. Please also keep the campaign in mind as you plan your future charitable giving.
