Center for Genetics

The Center for Genetics is an environment in which academic and clinical faculty, and students can develop excellence in genetic and genomic health education, research, and evidence based practice.

What sets us apart?
  • Genetic nursing studies in an environment in which academic and clinical faculty include experienced genetic nurse researchers, educators, and clinicians. These nurses are joined by genetic counselors, medical, and basic genetics clinicians and scientists.

  • A strong track record in terms of funding for faculty research, training grants, and individual predoctoral training grant awards.

  • The first NINR funded T32 training program for post-doctoral nursing fellows in Clinical Genetics Nursing Research.
