  • DAISY in Training: Call for Nominations

What is the DAISY in Training Award?
The DAISY in Training Award ™ is designed to remind students – even on the hardest days in nursing school – why they want to be a nurse. By recognizing nursing students who go above and beyond, providing care and compassion to patients and their families, we celebrate what it truly means to be a nurse.

  • STUDENT LIFE: Strike up the Band!

Dan DiMonte has two distinctly different professional interests: music and health care.

DiMonte, who just finished his first semester at the College of Nursing, is also working toward a B.A. in Music. It’s possible that he will eventually find a way to combine these interests … perhaps via music therapy.

More so, just think of what he will bring to the table in the nursing profession after receiving four full years of leading-edge education from one of the country’s best BSN programs!

  • Student Life: Q&A with a Rising ‘Star’

In only a few short weeks into the fall 2012 semester, the research of Staja Booker has been getting nationally noticed. It could even be said that Booker, a first-year student in the College of Nursing’s PhD program, has a bright future in front of her—so it’s fitting that she has been nicknamed “Star” nearly all of her life.
