Presenter of the Woodrow Morris Lectureship is Jerry Friedman, author of Earth’s Elders: The Wisdom of the World’s Oldest People, who spent four years documenting the lives of the 60 oldest people on earth. He is a leading expert on supercentenarians, those who have lived 110 years or more.
The event is open to the public, and begins at 7:30 p.m. A Q & A will follow. The lectureship is made possible by the generosity of Woodrow W. Morris and Mary Anders Morris, longtime friends of the UI College of Nursing.

These events are intended for healthcare professionals who wish to encourage more positive and creative approaches to caring for older adults in long-term care environments. The focus of these programs will be on implementation of evidence-based practices in a nurturing interdisciplinary climate.

3.0 and quality measures for improving facility performance. It will also discuss the role of the caregiver in creating the future of long-term care.

The Long-Term Care Conference will discuss strategies for implementing evidence-based practices related to pain and incontinence as well as strategies for developing and enhancing person-directed care.
