CON Professor Awarded ACS Seed Grant, Featured in UI News Digest

Der-Fa Lu, PhD, RN, assistant professor in the UI College of Nursing, was recently named one of two researchers to receive a one-year, $30,000 American Cancer Society seed grant through the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Society at the university.

CON Professor Named AANP Fellow

Sherry McKay, MSN, ARNP, GNP-BC, assistant professor at the UI College of Nursing was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

McKay, who mentors undergraduate nursing students and nurse practitioner (NPs) to help them develop into the nursing leaders of tomorrow, was inducted at the Academy’s 26th National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
