BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Prerequisite Info

In order to be considered for admission to the undergraduate BSN program, the student must have completed, or be in the process of completing all of the following prerequisites:

Minimum High School Requirements:

  • 4 years of high school English
  • 3 years of mathematics, including algebra I, algebra II, and geometry
  • 3 years of science, including 1 full-year course in biology, one full-year course in chemistry and at least one semester of physics
  • 3 years of social studies
  • 2 years of the same foreign language

College prerequisites:

  • Rhetoric - 4- 8 s.h. This may be satisfied by testing for advanced standing.
  • Animal Biology (002:002)
  • Microbiology (061:164 or 061:157)
  • Human Anatomy (060:110)
  • Psychology (031:001)
  • Human Development & Behavior (096:030)
  • General Chemistry I (004:007)

All prerequisites must be completed prior to beginning classes in the College of Nursing.
