The application deadline is June 1st annually. APPLICATION LINKS WILL BE LOCATED HERE ON THIS WEBSITE ANNUALLY, FEBRUARY 1st TO JUNE 1st FOR THE FOLLOWING SPRING (January) START.

This program is a full-time plan of study that is block scheduled in a "lock-step" manner. The program will run five consecutive semesters, including two summers, and a winter session. It is strongly advised that students do not work while enrolled in this plan of study. Students will progress through the program as a unified cohort. Should a student leave the program (for any reason other than academic or professional misconduct), the student will be required to wait one year for re-entry into the program, and will be permitted to do so only on a space available basis.
Requirements for International Students
Due to the level of Internet-based coursework in the MSN program, international students in this program of study are not eligible to receive an I-20 form for F-1 (student) visas/immigration status. Many international students, though, will be able to receive documentation to qualify for J-1 (exchange visitors) visas/status. Questions regarding visas and immigration documentation should be addressed to the Office of International Students and Scholars; e-mail oiss@uiowa.edu.
