The University of Iowa Nursing Collaboratory is a strategic partnership between the University of Iowa College of Nursing and the UI Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing Services and Patient Care. Its goal is to provide an infrastructure to support and develop collaborative and joint initiatives between the College and Department of Nursing. Its mission is to use the combined resources of the College and the Department to:
- Deliver innovative nursing service
- Develop evidence-based nursing practice
- Conduct nursing research
- Disseminate new knowledge
- Provide education for future leadership in nursing practice
The partnership, as evidenced by the
Faculty Practice Directory, is made up of four collaborative leadership groups:
- Practice
- Research
- Education
- Informatics
University of Iowa Nursing Enterprise
One initiative of the University of Iowa Nursing Collaborative is the University of Iowa Nursing Enterprise. The Nursing Enterprise is an entrepreneurial partnership whose mission is to develop ideas from the Nursing Collaborative and from College and Department of Nursing staff into plans for potential services and products which can then be marketed to meet the needs of patients, families, and communities.
